Oldest Memory

The oldest memoy I can remember ireally not that special. I think I was 1 year old, but I don't entirely remember. What I do remember was that I was at sea world, and my dad was carryin me to some small play area for kids. He set me down and I walked a few steps away from my dad. But then I looked up at this water slide and saw how big it was (compared to me) and I saw the other kids (they were older then me) and I immediately turn back to my dad, walking as fast as I could, crying. That's all that I remember really.

Entry Way Song

It sounds like whoever Conor Oberst was talking about was really special to him. This song could be applied to anyone special you have out there. I had a very special friend once. His name was Jerrick Warden. He made me who I am today. He's the reason I'm interested in mixed martial arts. He's also the one who got me wearing crazy skinny jeans as part of my fashion. Even part of my charisma comes from him. I'm basically his shadow. This song could be applied to him in my point of view. And I'm sure we all have that one special friend we could apply this to.

Goethe

I think Goethe meant well with this quote, but the way I see it, it can be taken in a totally wrong way. Their is a loop hole in this quote, and can be used both good and bad (equally). This quote can also very similar to the quote "Treat people the way you want to be treated". I believe that everyone should just be respectful to each other no matter what, that way there is less ridiculous and pointless hate. But I think some people honestly just enjoy being rude and obnoxious so realistically speaking, everyone being respectful is an impossible task. However that doesn't mean the majority of people can't be nice, and the more nice people there are, the better this world will be.

Marcus Aurelius

This quote is hard for me to say something about it. It's almost like saying that everything that is, isn't. Almost like how we think of what something is and what it really is are two different things. I like the everything is an opinion part of this quote. It reminds me of elementary, learning the difference between fact and opinion. I understood the difference almost imediately. My friends however thought they knew the difference, but they really didn't. Especially since I got into an arguement one time with my friend, and he was saying that someone who is stupid is a fact, not an opinion, and I objected saying there was no way that you can prove that (keep in mind I was in elementary). I think that the concept of fact and opinion is very interesting.

Nina Duran

I think this is a fine quote. She's right scars do come and go, and they can even say alot about a person and their past, what they've been through. I think scars can make you stronger, whether they are physical or mental. I think everyone has scars too, whether or not they realize it. Even I have scars. But I try my best to look past that and become a better person. Alot of the times it gets hard but I just have to remember that everything will be ok no matter what. I have to let go of the past no matter how hard it is.

Current Events: Anti-Terrorism Law

Laws that passed several years ago about anti-terrorism, is considered to be unconstitutional. It is allowing the government to intercept certain types of communication, forcing some people to change the way they communicate, and violating the 4th amendment. This issue was taken to the supreme court. The reason this story interests me is because it shows how to government will be messed up and try to lie and cheat to do what they want. The 4th amendment protects our privacy, but what I've noticed is that alot of the times the government will try to find loop holes around their laws and amendments so they can get exactly what they want and it bugs me. But I don't personally care enough to even attempt to try and change it. Besides the government has alot more power then me, I would have to do ALOT for them to probably even consider changing, and they still would probably try to find loop holes.

Steve Jobs

This is an interesting quote, but there are ways that it can actually be wrong. It says to be creative, you have to be willing to throw away who you were or used to be. Well what if who you are or used to be was creative? Considering imagination is (usually) best when you are a child, you probably were more creative as a kid. But you can also look at it as if he means to be a good person. Such as if your trying to become a good person after going down a bad road, you have to let go of all that and who you used to be, and accept the new you. Change isn't always a bad thing, infact most of the time it's a good thing. The question is, if you should change, and when.
